Mineral-based sunscreen means a sunscreen that has either Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide as the main sun protective ingredient. These ingredient act as a block, reflecting or bouncing the UVA/UVB rays off the skin. Other chemical (non-mineral) ingredients absorbs the sun’s rays turning them into heat.
Chemical sunscreen contains synthetic ingredients such as oxybenzone and avobenzone, which are absorbed into the skin to filter and absorb UV rays. Because it is absorbed, chemical sunscreen can lead to skin irritation and other adverse reactions. Plus, the ingredients can generate cell-damaging free radicals when exposed to the sun.
Diligent use of sunscreen can slow or temporarily prevent the development of wrinkles, moles and sagging skin.

They have some terrific products for body that last longer than many other sunscreens. Their “Smart Bottle” technology changes colors in the presence of harmful UV rays, reminding you to cover up. This is so cool for those who forget to reapply.
Drug store brands – La Roche-Posay and Neutrogena
La Roche-Posay has an award winning line of products for face and body suitable for sensitive skin. Just an excellent all-over product line. They resent added a primer sunscreen product too.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 55 – This is a classic original sunscreen you can find in any drug store. You can use it instead of moisturizer rather than double layering. It provides a somewhat matte finish and without looking chalky. It doesn’t crumble or pill like some other sunscreens, and has never made me break out.
