VEINGOGH TREATMENT
How does it work?
This is a medical device used for spider vein treatment, cherry angiomas, small hemangiomas, skin tags and even the redness of rosacea on the face. A “micro burst” of energy selectively heats the vein, coagulating the blood and collapsing the vessel wall, which is quickly absorbed into the body.
Only VeinGogh uses Ohmic Thermolysis, the unique process of selectively thermocoagulating small, cosmetically unacceptable blood vessels using microbursts of high-frequency electrical energy delivered into the vessel via a hair-thin probe. The resistivity of the vessels converts the energy to heat instantly, coagulating the blood and collapsing the vessel wall, yet leaving the outer layers of the skin unaffected.
Is there any down time?

How long is a typical treatment?
Depending upon the size of the area, treatments can range from about 10 minutes for minor lesions, and up to 60 minutes for a more extensive condition.
Will the veins come back?

How do laser vein treatments work?

It works by sending a beam of powerful laser light below the surface of the skin to target visible veins. As the laser energy is absorbed by the problem blood vessels and veins, they naturally fade away without harming your skin.
What to expect during laser vascular treatments
After just one laser vein treatment, you will start seeing results. Depending on the patient’s condition, multiple sessions may be recommended to achieve the best outcomes. Laser vascular treatments are practically free from pain and side effects.
Some patients compare the laser pulse to the snap of a thin rubber band. The most common side effects include some redness and warmth at the treatment site. Most people are able to resume their normal activities immediately following treatment.
When will I see results?
Immediately. You will see continuous improvement in your spider vein removal over several weeks as the treated vessels are reabsorbed.
How many treatments are needed?
Generally only a few treatments are necessary for complete spider vein removal in our Boston office. However, depending on the severity of the condition, a follow-up spider vein treatment in our Boston office may be necessary.
